  •   RD perlite filter aid is a powdery product obtained through multiple processes, including selecting and purifying small-diameter mineral sands, heating with purified coal gas, selective expansion in a vertical kiln, and grinding and purification. 
      The product is white or light gray, a solid powder composed of inert amorphous glass particles. 
      Product Features 
      ● Superior physical properties 
       ● Pure white color: The appearance is pure white, giving a clean and hygienic visual impression, suitable for industries with high requirements for product appearance quality. 
       ● Relatively light bulk density: The product has a bulk density of 230-460kg/m³, 20% lighter than diatomaceous earth filter aids in terms of packing density. It weighs less for the same volume, making it easier to transport, store, and use. 
       ● High porosity: When particles form a filter cake, the porosity can reach 80%-90%. Many capillaries connect between the particles. This high-porosity structure gives it good permeability, allowing for rapid filtration of liquids and capturing submicron particles below 1 micron. 
      ● Good chemical stability: The main components are potassium, sodium, aluminum silicate, etc., which are inert amorphous glass particles. They are insoluble in strong acids and alkalis, chemically stable, and will not react chemically with the filtered substance during filtration, ensuring the quality of the filtrate. 
      ● Excellent filtration effect 
       ● Fast filtration speed: Compared with diatomaceous earth filter aids, the filtration speed of perlite filter aid can be increased by about 30%, effectively improving production efficiency and shortening the filtration cycle. 
       ● Strong ability to remove impurities: Through screening, depth effect, and adsorption, it can effectively remove suspended matter, particulate matter, organic matter, and heavy metals from liquids, making the filtrate clearer and purer. 
      ● High safety: It does not contain organic matter. After being calcined at 1200℃ during production, it can achieve 100% sterility. The content of heavy metal ions is generally below 0.005%, with no potential pollutants, and is harmless to the human body. It can be safely used in food and pharmaceutical industries with strict hygiene requirements. 
      Production Process 
      After grading and drying, the mineral sand enters the feeding stage. Then, it is calcined/melted at a high temperature of around 1200℃, causing the perlite to expand selectively. The expanded product is cooled and crushed, then undergoes multi-stage air classification, selection, and degritting processes to finally obtain a perlite filter aid product with a reasonable particle size distribution and stable quality. 
      Product Applications 
      ● Food and beverage industry: Widely used in the filtration of beer, juice, tea drinks, edible oil, and seasonings. For example, in beer filtration, it can make the beer clearer and tastier; in juice/tea drink filtration, it can effectively remove suspended matter and fruit pulp residue; in corn oil/vegetable oil filtration, it can quickly remove phospholipids and colloids from the oil, improving the transparency and stability of the oil. 
      ● Pharmaceutical industry: It can be used in the filtration of synthetic plasma, vitamins, and traditional Chinese medicine extracts to remove impurities and microorganisms, ensuring the purity and quality of the medicine. 
      ● Chemical industry: In the refining of lubricating oil and hydraulic oil, it can remove mechanical impurities, colloids, and oxidation products; in biodiesel decolorization, it can adsorb pigments and free fatty acids; it can also be used in the purification of chemical raw materials, organic solvent recovery, resin synthesis liquid filtration, and the treatment of electroplating wastewater and dyeing wastewater to reduce COD and chromatic pollution. 
      ● and stability; in the petroleum industry, it can be used for crude oil filtration and petroleum product refining; in the water treatment field, it can be used as a flocculant to help remove suspended matter and impurities from water.
