      RD lithium-based bentonite is a modified clay material obtained by artificially modifying (mainly through ion exchange reactions) natural bentonite (with montmorillonite as the core component), replacing the original cations (such as Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, Na⁺, etc.) with Li⁺, thereby improving its properties. It combines the natural properties of bentonite with the unique effects of lithium ions and is widely used in industry.

        Product Characteristics 
        ● High water absorption and swelling: When encountering water or polar solvents such as ethanol and acetone, it can rapidly absorb a large amount of water, forming a colloid or swelling fully. Its expansion ratio can reach several or even dozens of times its own volume. Even under low moisture conditions, it can combine with media such as soil to form a stable water-containing medium. 
        ● Good suspension stability: It can form a three-dimensional network structure in systems such as coatings and drilling mud, supporting and preventing the settling of refractory materials, powders, etc., giving the system good suspension stability, preventing sedimentation and stratification, and ensuring the uniformity of product quality and performance. 
        ● Thixotropy: When subjected to external high shear forces, its structure will be destroyed, but when the shear force decreases or disappears, it can return to its original structural state. This thixotropy makes coatings and other products have good fluidity and coating performance during construction, and is not prone to sagging or dripping. 
        ● Adsorption: The crystal layer surface carries a negative charge and can adsorb substances such as metal cations. It can effectively adsorb pollutants in soil, organic matter and heavy metal ions in wastewater, reducing environmental pollution. It can also be used to adsorb harmful pigments, phospholipids, and saponins in oils, playing a purification and decolorizing role. 
        ● Chemical stability: It has good chemical stability and is not easily chemically reacted or deteriorated under certain temperature and acidity conditions. It can maintain its stable performance in different chemical environments and can adapt to various application scenarios. 
        Product Applications 
        The performance of lithium-based bentonite makes it irreplaceable in many industrial fields: 
        ● Coatings and inks industry 
        As a thickener, suspending agent, or thixotropic agent, it can prevent pigment settling and improve the leveling and workability of coatings (such as automotive paint, anticorrosion coatings, and inks). 
        ● Oil and gas drilling 
        As a drilling fluid additive, it can stabilize the wellbore and reduce the filtration loss, and can maintain colloid stability even in high-temperature deep wells (superior to traditional sodium-based bentonite). 
        ● Cosmetics and pharmaceuticals 
        In cosmetics (such as creams and toothpaste) as a suspending agent or thickener to improve product stability; in pharmaceuticals, it can be used as a sustained-release carrier or adsorbent (such as antidiarrheal drugs and antidotes). 
        ● Environmental protection field 
        Used in wastewater treatment to adsorb heavy metal ions (such as Pb²⁺, Cd²⁺) or organic pollutants (such as dyes and oil stains), and has good regeneration performance. 
        ● Casting and ceramics 
        As a molding sand binder, it improves the strength and air permeability of molding sand; in ceramics, it can improve the plasticity and drying strength of the blank.
